SPRINGFESTIn it's 12th year, the Corcoran Chamber and Aftermath Car Show brings spectators from around the world to take in the awe-inspiring works of art with over 350 truck, car and motorcycle entries. The event is located in beautiful downtown Corcoran, so folks can not only enjoy the vehicles on display, but the local merchants as well. Our show is an afternoon show featuring bands, food & craft vendors and micro brews from Corcoran's own Lake Bottom Brewery. Our show has been featured in several magazines and video shoots, including Street Trucks, Truck Trend, Truckin' and multiple YouTube videos. This year's show will take place May 18, 2024. |
FARMERS' MARKETThe Corcoran Farmers' & Artisans' Market takes place once a month in downtown Corcoran during the summer. Enjoy fresh produce grown by the Corcoran F.F.A. as well as fresh flowers, handmade soaps, crafts, salsa and baked goods. The laid back evening includes a band, as well as a beer and wine garden to enjoy with friends. Mark your calendars for June 14, July 12 and August 9 for this year's markets.

COTTON FESTIVAL2024 marks the 64th Cotton Festival held in Corcoran. This long-time family, friend and farming tradition brings all of Corcoran out to celebrate. The day kicks off with a parade down Whitley Avenue, followed by a day-long celebration at the RAC of carnival rides, live entertainment, eating contests, food, craft and information vendors. The evening concludes with a dance under the evening stars with music provided by August Band. A beer and wine garden is available throughout the day. This year's event will take place October 5th.

CHRISTMAS PARADEThe Corcoran Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting holds a special place in the hearts of those who attend as it is the kick-off to Corcoran's holiday season. Enjoy lighted floats and tractors and watch as they flip the switch to turn on the lights of the giant 85' tree in the middle of the street. The parade and tree lighting is followed by children taking photos with Santa in the gazebo, as well as food, craft and hot chocolate vendors. Join us December 5, 2024 for this year's celebration.

OUR STAFFThe Corcoran Chamber of Commerce staff is made up of Executive Director Lisa Shaw and Ambassador Mike Graville. Lisa has been at the Chamber since 2006 and has a background in marketing, advertising and event planning. She attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and started her career in Marketing and Advertising at JPAX Communications. Clients included Fig Garden Village Shopping Center, the Fresno-Madera Medical Society, the Fresno Chamber of Commerce and the Kings, Tulare, Fresno and Madera County Farm Bureaus. Lisa sits on several boards and committees including Corcoran Rotary, Corcoran Museum Committee, Corcoran 50/50 Club, Corcoran High School CTE Program, Corcoran Thursday Club and Corcoran Organization's Committee. She is a long-time resident of Waukena and lives with her husband Jason, where they are active in Waukena 4-H as leaders of Market Lambs, Foods & Nutrition, Photography, Archery, Arts & Crafts, Record Book Keeping, Gardening and Shotgun Training. Jason and Lisa are members of Visalia Christian Reformed Church and the Roma Lodge of Tulare. Their daughter Delaney attended Kansas State University and was a member of the Kansas State Meats Judging Team. She is currectly residing in Nebraska and is employed by Skylark Meats.
Mike Graville is no stranger to Corcoran. He and wife Gloria moved to Corcoran in 1974. Prior to Corcoran, Mike attended University of Illinois where he played basketball. Mike was the principal of John Muir Middle School and Kings Lake as well as the basketball and football coach for Corcoran. Mike was the Executive Director for the Corcoran Community Foundation and is the current President of Corcoran District Hospital. Mike sits on several boards and committees including Corcoran Rotary and is the founder and chair of the newly formed Corcoran Organization's Committee. Mike is an avid golfer and sits on the board of the Kings Country Club. |
