City of Corcoran Summer Paint Program-April 15-October 15
Applications are now available for the City of Corcoran’s summer paint program for low income families and for senior citizens.
The low income program allows qualifying families to purchase house paint with city vouchers; they complete the paint job themselves. Seniors can pick their paint using the vouchers and their homes will be painted for them through the city program.
The regular summer program runs from April 15 through Oct. 15, said Delia Martinez, coordinator of the program. Seniors can have homes painted between June 1-July 11 with the labor costs borne by the city. Martinez noted that the dates for the senior program may be subject to change.
To qualify for the program, applicants must live within the city boundaries and own their own home; must not have used the program in the past 10 years; and household income cannot be over 80 percent of the median per year.
For more information regarding the program, contact Martinez at city hall at 992-2151, extension 233.
